Samkelo Mfanekiso was born near Matataile in Eastern Cape. After school he worked as a money collector in the taxi Industry to pay for his university fees. He studied human resources at Unisa and them took up a job working at Wimpy to cover fees. This was where he realised his real passion lay in the kitchen. Samkelo was then inspired by a Doctor who saw the talent in him to pursue cooking as a career. He wants to travel the world and learn as much as he can about fine dining and plating. Samkelo's dream is to be able to share his passion for food with people and to inspire them in return.
